2000 Chinese troops cross into Burma's Shan State

1,000 Chinese troops in SLORC army uniforms went into Loi Lan
township, near to Ho Mong Headquarters of Khun Sa's Mong Tai Army
two weeks ago. Very recently, another 1000 Chinese troops in
SLORC military uniforms sneaked again into Shan State in Burma.

It will be Khun Sa who asked the Chinese troops to do security
for him and his opium production and trade, as his army became
weak after the split of Karn Yod's faction, and there is much
dissention among Mong Tai Army officials and possible mutiny in
it, said the source.

Maj. Sein Win, Capt Ko Ko Aung and Sergeant Thein Win of SLORC
Military Intelligent Unit have been involved in opium production
and trade at Mong Set and Mong Sai regions in Shan State.
